I have been experimenting with photography from an early age - working with 35mm, SLR then Digital. My love of photography and observing the world in general grew steadily with my love of natural beauty / scenic places and wildlife. I found a passion for capturing evocative images (or more accurately, a quest or attempt in that direction!) ... motivated by the joy of sharing these subjects / places / experiences with others.
I love to travel looking for special places and moments - both near & far from home - where the various elements of our world (animals, plants, earth, water, light, sky, stars ...) all come together to highlight the wonder of existence! I have been fortunate to have lived & worked in 3 continents and traveled to all barring South America (perhaps after learning Español) and Antarctica ( perhaps best left alone!).

I am reminded often that these special moments/experiences can come at any time in any place -- whenever we are actively looking, anticipating, and then waiting (!) for them ... whether walking or riding my bike around the local lake, or hiking in one of the many regional nature preserves, or visiting national parks/other places around the US and other countries.
