I also enjoy looking at the changing patterns of our night sky and celestial events such as eclipses & meteor showers. I was fortunate to get unforgettable, awe-inspiring sightings of four Total Solar Eclipses in Europe (1999), Africa (2001), Australia (2002), India (2009).

Besides nature, travel and photography, I have a variety of other interests. Some of them are - in no particular order - music, cool inventions, cultural events, reading & writing (hopefully more some day!); reflecting on current events and history to understand societal trends and the human potential for creativity, altruism, self-actualization and spiritual growth. I enjoy learning about/ experiencing the various cultures / traditions of the world through friends, events, films, and travel.

I live in northern California in the San Francisco Bay Area - which I love more for it's local / regional nature preserves - and its proximity to the awe-inspiring national parks, Redwood forests and coastal areas rather than ... let's just say, anything else!
